Organic Social Media, Brand Reviews, and Creator Strategy

The Challenge
As a brand strategist with a growing curiosity around functional wellness, I launched @highfrequenciesfl on Tik Tok to explore and demystify the evolving THC beverage space (what I call “Garden Beverages”). My goal was to create a personal platform where I could test content ideas, build an engaged community, and experiment with storytelling in a highly regulated, algorithm-sensitive environment - all without paid amplification.

The challenge? Growing a niche lifestyle account from scratch while navigating TikTok’s limitations around cannabis-adjacent content and doing so in a way that felt both educational and fun.

Audience Focus
The content is designed for the canna-curious: wellness-minded adults, sober-curious consumers, and those looking for alternatives to alcohol. They’re not just following trends; they want real reviews, simple breakdowns, and a trusted source to help them navigate a growing (and often overwhelming) product landscape.

The tone had to balance credibility with approachability - never salesy, never preachy. Just honest reviews, useful tips, and a little magic.

My Role & Strategic Approach
This page is fully self-produced: concepting, scripting, filming, editing, and publishing all fall under my direction. I approached the channel with the same strategy I bring to client work: clear content pillars, audience alignment, and consistency.

To differentiate the content and make it brand-safe, I utilized recognizable language in the space: 

  • “Garden Beverages” = THC-infused drinks

  • “Garden Treats” = THC edibles

I also created recurring content formats, including:

  • “Garden Beverage Reviews”

  • “Garden Beverages at Total Wine”

  • “Tips + Tricks” for the Garden-Curious

As the channel gained traction, over 10 brands reached out to collaborate - including Gigli, Endo, Anytime THC Seltzer, Hi Seltzers, Astro Bliss, OFFFIELD, and more; these companies offered product in exchange for honest, creative highlights.

Solutions in Action

  • Grew the account from 0 to nearly 6k followers in under 5 months

  • Produced multiple evergreen series to encourage repeat viewership

  • Navigated TikTok restrictions with a custom brand-safe vocabulary

  • Created over 75+ videos with high engagement and retention

  • Best-performing video surpassed 714k+ views organically

  • Became a trusted micro-influencer in the functional beverage space

  • Featured as a source in The Independent for a story on Gen Z’s shift from alcohol to THC drinks, after the reporter discovered my content

Results & Resonance
The account has become a trusted resource for consumers and brands alike, with viewers frequently asking for recommendations and brands initiating collaborations.

It’s proof that clear messaging, content consistency, and audience empathy can drive real growth - even in tricky, restricted categories.

Why It Matters
This project isn’t just a personal creative outlet: it’s a living case study in how strategic storytelling and niche community-building can drive traction without paid spend. It’s also a great example of how brand voice, platform-specific tactics, and authentic storytelling can come together to create real resonance.

This is what modern content strategy looks like: authentic, soulful, and seriously effective.
